  If you're after some interesting ales and craft beers, then this is the place to be. It's pretty quiet and mostly gets visited by a few locals/regulars, but that means you'll always get a seat and a table. It's a little bit out of town, but again I think that works in it's favor. Ale types will love this place!!!

  Wow. Amazing food, reasonable prices, warm friendly atmosphere, good service, pleasant clientele - there is nothing bad about this pub. Its all around excellent.

  If you treat it primarily as an alehouse then it cannot be faulted. Always a great range of cask ales in excellent condition. Don't expect Michelin star food, although the grill-dominated menu is good value. If you don't like a typical pub atmosphere, then there is a newly extended and refurbished quiet area stretching out the back to the onsite ABC brewery. Always at least 2 Vale brewery beers on tap, and normally at least one ABC beer
